God is orchestrating a global worship and prayer movement

In this time in history, God is orchestrating a global worship and prayer movement that will bring about a harvest of a billion souls and will prepare the way for the second coming of Jesus.

Luke 2 briefly tells the story of a woman named Anna. After being married for seven years, Anna became a widow. Verse 37 says that Anna “never left the temple, serving night and day with fastings and prayers.” This woman, at the age of 84, was privileged to see with her own eyes the answer to her sixty or so years of night and day intercession: a young women and man walking in to the temple carrying the hope of all the world, the baby, Jesus Christ.

Just as God called Anna before the first coming of the Lord to pray night and day, we are also living in a time when God is raising up people all over the world to pray before his second coming.

Ten years ago, the International House of Prayer Missions Base began 24/7 prayer in September of 1999. Since that time prayer and worship has not stopped. In June of 2004, I began full-time ministry as an “intercessory missionary” joining this movement of worship and prayer with over 1,000 other missionaries at the International House of Prayer Missions Base in Kansas City.

A Calling to the Nightwatch

We live in a critical hour of history in which Jesus is calling His people to stand with Him in the night.

Before Jesus' death, He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane. There He told His disciples, "My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with Me" (Matthew 26:38). He asked His disciples to pray through the night with Him. I feel called as one answeri ng Jesus' cry in this day, standing with the company of believers in Kansas City at the International House of Prayer (IHOP), watching and praying through the night with Jesus.

Night and Day Prayer Brings Justice

Now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?

-Luke 18:7

All over the earth a cry is resounding for justice. How will the nations of the earth get justice? What is the solution for grinding poverty, child soldiers, debilitating sickness and disease, 50 million babies dying every year from abortion and multitudes who have yet to hear the truth of the Gospel? God’s method for bringing justice to these issues and the many more that face us is night and day prayer. This is the ministry that God has called me to. I am crying out for justice every night. I know that God will hear our prayers and respond with deliverance for all who are oppressed!
