Prayer at the Supreme Court

This week (October 2nd-October 8th) I have been in Washington, DC praying with many of my covenant brothers and sisters for the ending of abortion and for revival to come to our nation. As Monday was the opening day of the Supreme Court, I stood out there in front of the Court with others from Bound4Life. This was a really important day as new Chief Justice John G. Roberts began his first day on the job.

As usual, we prayed in silence with the tape over our mouths that says LIFE. With a sound permit, we also had live worship and prayer outside of the court. This was the first time after standing for a year that we were not completely silent. As we waited for Chief Justice Roberts to come out we took off our tape and just began to worship the Lord singing to Him, “You are holy”. It was wonderful worshiping our King even before the highest human court of our nation. I really reflected yesterday on the battle we have faced this past year and rejoiced before the Lord for the beginning steps we are seeing of victory over abortion.

Fox News Report

Here is an excerpt from what Fox News reported at the end of one of there articles today about us:

Outside the courthouse, Roberts and his family were cheered by about three dozen members of Bound 4 Life, an anti-abortion group that has been a steady presence in front of the court. Many of the group's teen to young adult members had taped the word "life" over their mouths, while others sang religious songs and lifted their arms in the air.

Some members called out to Roberts directly, saying, "We love you," and "We're praying for you." Roberts maintained his by now familiar, steady grin, and only his wife, a pro-life attorney, waved at the group.

Harriet Meyers: Significant Victory

Yesterday was also our one year anniversary of standing in front of the Supreme Court. Bound4Life has been outside of the court in silence almost every day crying out for LIFE to prevail in the court. I believe with Harriet Miers nomination yesterday, we are beginning to see the court shift significantly for LIFE and we are on our way to a complete victory over abortion if we continue to pray as a nation.

We continued in prayer in front of the court until 5 pm and afterward had an incredible time of prayer and worship at a church in Maryland. It made for a very long day, but it’s worth it to see the Lord move in our nation!

What can I do?

Thank you to those of you have prayed for me and given financially. You are truly making this ministry of prayer possible.
