Night Watch

Washington, DC

I am writing in most definitely the most intense season of my life. We are praying night and day in Washington, DC for the elections Tuesday. Most have you have probably already received my mail prayer update for the month. I don’t feel like even it is enough to express to you the importance of the next few days. We are all currently on an Esther Fast. It is the fast that Esther did before she went before the king. It is no food, no water, nothing for three days. I am amazed already at the grace of the Lord empowering me to do what I told everyone I “couldn’t” do. Please continue to pray for me as I fast, however. I am fasting until the end of our most critical Night Watch Monday night.

I am first off writing to mobilize prayer for my Night Watch team as we pray here in Washington, DC just a block from the capitol building on 201 Pennsylvania. We are getting it from all sides. We are tired, weak, falling asleep, and having difficulty with each other. I need so much prayer as the leader of this group. Please pray God would give us grace to pray from 12-5 am tonight and tomorrow (Monday) night. Also pray that we would for the sake of our own children be able to accomplish our mandate: 1) A righteous President in office (Bush), 2) The overturning of Roe vs. Wade (A righteous, pro-life congress to confirm Bush’s appointments).

I can’t begin to stress to you the importance of this election!!! It is life or death for this nation…God or Bal (a Mount Carmel moment). It is really for our children that we do this. Will they live in post-Christian society? I tell you it is up to us in this moment! Will the church stand for righteousness or will we sit back in apathy again? I encourage you to pray like never before. Join us on our fast to the measure that the grace of God will allow you. It is so important. Yesterday I had a vision as I was standing in front of the Supreme Court. I was taken to the throne of God and I saw a hosts and hosts of angles. I asked God why they where there and not on earth. He looked at me and said that they where the end time army he was releasing. However he told me it was directly tied in with this fast. He did not give me the option of breaking it. It is so hard but for the sake of our children let’s go after these next two days with all that we can.

I just wrote a song about the voiceless babies in the womb. The chorus is: “And their voices will be heard in our silence.” I wrote it about our stand in silence before the Supreme Court. This is such a critical time. Please respond to the fullest extent God gives you grace for the sake of our nation and our children.
