Today we finished day eight of the “Silent Siege” outside of Planned Parenthood in Overland Park, KS. We know that God is changing things even as we are praying in silence. Every day at 7:45 pm we have been taking communion. This has proved to be an incredible opportunity to agree in unity for LIFE to prevail at this clinic. Before taking communion every time, we pray a 22 word prayer thousands are praying all over this nation, “Jesus, I plead Your blood over my sins and the sins of my nation. God end abortion and send revival to America!” Then we sing the old hymn “What Can Wash Away My Sins”.

The first day I was out there I met two Catholic men who have been coming out there for years every Saturday praying for the clinic to be shut down. One of the men in this time afterwards held up a birthday card. He told us that a woman that day had given this card to him inviting him to her daughter’s birthday. He went on to tell us that this same woman he had persuaded about seven years ago not to have an abortion and her daughter was the baby that was saved. This story has spurred us on to continue even with some resistance from the clinic, weather, and just our own physical weariness. If one baby is saved, all of this is worth it!

Those of you on my monthly support and prayer team be looking for a newsletter in the mail Friday or Saturday documenting more of what is happening as we pray at this clinic for abortion to end.

Thank you again for making this ministry of prayer possible with your prayer and support!!
