May 1, 2005 E-Mail Update
I am finally getting a new e-mail update out! Things are going well. My trip home to Lufkin went well. I got to lead worship in a small group at my house and many were touched. I also got to preach at Nacogdoches Christian Fellowship talking about my trip to Washington, DC. I also got to spend a lot of time with my family. It was a short trip though. I had to head right back to IHOP to lead worship.
My time of leading worship when I got back was incredible! I was so tired, so weak!! I was thinking, “well if I can just get through this one I can go to bed!!” Unfortunately, I came in to another jammed-pack room full of dancing rejoicing worshipers! Misty Edwards was leading them in worship. Well, it came time for me. I was like…oh boy! But, I just felt such a peace of the Lord to continue in where she left off. I started singing, “Come Lord Jesus, come.” The room just erupted in worship crying out for Jesus to return. Many stayed for about 15 minutes or so as I just sang that chorus over and over again. Finally we went into intercession. It was good to see the Lord move even in my incredible weakness of being SO tired from a 12 hour drive!!
Well, I just finished my newsletter. I am getting ready for a really intense next month. Now is the time to pray for me like never before!! I need it! I already feel much resistance from the enemy.
