Day 1

Our Silent Prayer Siege in Lufkin, TX started Monday. Our team began in the morning with prayer. From there I headed to Lufkin for Life’s press conference. I got to share about the Silent Siege to several members of the media.

Arriving at the clinic around 12 o’clock we were soon joined by 20 or so awesome, courageous teenagers. The 40 or so of us total stood in silence allowing the voice of the voiceless babies to be heard “even in our silence!

I was surprised to see a constant presence by Planned Parenthood outside taking pictures of each one of us.

Taking Communion at Planned ParenthoodWe finished the day off taking communion. I read from Psalm 18 declaring that God is going to rescue the unborn because He delights in them. We believe that taking communion in front of the clinic really makes an impact as we pray in faith. It is something we have done at every one of the different prayer sieges all over this nation.

That night the Silent Siege was the top story on our local news. You can watch the clip here.

We had a wonderful evening of prayer for the ending of abortion and worship at Redland Baptist Church.

Day 2

I woke up early today heading over for a radio interview with myself and the team from Bound4Life. We got to share our hearts for the ending of abortion in Lufkin and the nation.

We were also on the front page of the local paper, the Lufkin Daily News today. I felt it was a pretty balanced article other then what the promotional director of the Planned Parenthood clinic, Michelle Green, said. She, seeking to distance herself from the national organization, actually said that they support open communication between parents and teenagers. Unfortunately, this is simply not the case. Here are some examples from her own organization’s web site for teenagers: Talking to Your Parents About Birth Control and Coming Out to You Parents. These articles might start out encouraging communication, but they quickly encourage the teenager to do whatever he is comfortable with. Silent SiegeThis is not something I want taught to my kids in school when I become a parent. Not to mention the vulgarity of even the subject matter of the second article. I also appreciated her concern for our health. Thank you, really thank you! However, I am more concerned for the health of the thousands of babies a year that your organization kills and that is why we are possibly sacrificing our health. It is worth the cost to see this wickedness end!

I feel a great burden to pray for this lady, Michelle Green, now every day. I feel she, like Norma McCorvey the Roe of Roe vs. Wade, could be turned to God and stand against abortion. Please join me in praying for a Damascus road encounter (Acts 9) for her this week. I know Jesus can do this converting her heart to the attitude of the righteous (Luke 1:17)!

The remainder of the day was wonderful as we stood again crying out to Jesus for the ending of abortion. We know that this battle will only be won in prayer! I am so excited to see local churches in prayer.

Please continue to pray for our team. Many of us are extremely tired already. Some with Bound4Life are even in bed physically ill. Please pray for the protection of God over my friends from Bound4Life (II Thes. 3:1-5).

Fighting for LIFE,
